Went to Chubbys for a birthday dinner. I was craving steak and was not disappointed. The New York Steak with Shrimp was very good. The sides were mushrooms, baked potato and corn. With salad and bun. The three shrimp were steamed and served with butter. Nice sized and pretty good for Montana. This has probably ruined me for the other restaurants in Helena that serve steaks. Friday & Saturday they do a prime rib, which 3 of our party had. The servings were huge and not over priced. Too full for dessert. They do need to update the menu photos online, since they are out of date.
The food was AMAZING. The service was top notch. The steaks were huge. If I’m back in Helena, I would definitely come back.
I have lived in Helena 31 years and this was my first time visiting Chubby's. My friends took me there for my birthday for Prime Rib. I was pleased with my dinner and wow the portion! I had dinner for 3 days. The white chocolate Rasberry Cheesecake for my dessert for excellent. It was wonderful!
Good steaks. 18oz rib eye dinner 28. Went early on Saturday night and got right in.
Had the steak dinner, did the extra 6 to share. Plenty for 2 people. Was very good! Done just right and had a great taste.
Small, warm, inviting place to eat. Chubby's is less than 60 seconds from the freeway. Its the small town comfortable place to eat that appeals to me and the Mr. You can walk through the bar which has alot of seating to the dining room if you prefer not to sit on a barstool. The beautiful blonde bartender was lightening fast in offering service. The kitchen made the food rapidly :) Look at the pictures, the biggest, freshest, most hot and tender chicken strips we've ever seen. The blue cheese on the burger was huge and chunky and for blue cheese fans I recommend it. Definitely going to be our go to spot when we run errands North.
